But over the years the human greed has decimated this divine tranquility, it has created communal tensions, it has generated animosity between different castes! The green villages and lush green mountains have been devastated by ever increasing mining activities! the village wells have no sufficient water due to depletion of ground water due to mining! The roads have become death traps killing at least one person per day due to fatal accidents! The thefts and robberies have become a common thing! Rapes and murders have tarnished the image of tranquil Goa all over the Globe! The land sharks have not spared their own motherland and made money selling all the beach side plots to every person able to shell out money! The younger generation has become frustrated and lost interest in life due to drug addiction! The sex trade is booming due to tourist inflow! The casinos have provided excellent place for the corrupt and criminals to spend their ill gotten wealth! The beaches are all occupied and exploited by the five star hotels and made out of reach for the common man! The liquor bars and taverns have opened in every alternate house! The system has become corrupt to the core and for every legitimate work, bribe needs to be shelled out! The Govt jobs are indirectly auctioned and sold to the highest bidder! The votes are purchased by making a section of the voters corrupt! The judicial system has also gone to the extent that for the final verdict to come it takes decades! The law enforcing agencies are not allowed to work independently! The real estate pimps in every village are marketing this divine land all over the Globe just for selfish motives! The electricity roads, water supply, sewerage, garbage disposal have all been neglected and are in poor shape!
All this is happening due to insatiable greed of a few dishonest people spread across the whole of this divine land! Will the sons of the soil wake up to save their mother land from complete devastation?
